Is chronic pain and fatigue getting you down? Want to experience more arthritis relief? Laughing contains great healing energy that can do wonders for your health and well-being.
I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase ‘laughter is the best medicine’. Even though researchers can’t say that laughter creates definite health benefits, the healing benefits however are plentiful and cannot be disputed.
These are only some of the positive effects laughter has on your body:
Research has shown that when you laugh you breathe faster, so your tissues receive more oxygen. Your blood vessels behave normally, allowing for a healthy blood flow. And laughter can boost your immune system, by increasing the level of infection-fighting antibodies and lowering your stress hormones.
This wonderful healing energy also gives your body the equivalent of a mild work-out. As you laugh you stretch muscles in your face and body, burn calories and give your heart rate a boost.
Your mind too loves a good laughing session. In the moment of laughter, the chronic pain and fatigue is no longer on your mind, creating instant arthritis relief. Laughing brings you in the here and now, effortlessly, and all other concerns are simply forgotten and no longer present. Even if it’s only for just a little while.
I’m not suggesting to ‘just’ laugh and that everything is then okay in your life. First of all, I wouldn’t dare. Second of all, if only things were that simple.
When you experience rheumatoid arthritis there is pain. There is fatigue. And creating lasting arthritis relief is not about denying, but about embracing what is.
But when things are tough, especially when things are tough, the healing energy of laughter will do you a world of good. It is simply a joy for your body, mind and soul.
So what can you do to bring more laughter into your life?

Consciously choose activities that create more laughter in your life. Give yourself those moments. Pick whatever you find enjoyable and decide to give yourself that.
Laughter is a gift from Spirit. You can use it anytime you want. And if it’s difficult to go out and experience laughter that way, then you can invite laughter in. It’s all naturally there at your disposal.
